LegalThings is incorporated
LegalThings is created as a spin-off of FIRM24. LegalThings provides a software suite for building documents and digital signing.
2016 - Q1
Workflow engine v1.0
The LegalThings workflow engine is released. The first version powers the FIRM24 procedures for incorporations. Others clients start using the engine for digitizing the contracts as FSM (Finite State Machine) and complex signing procedures.
2017 - Q3
Hackathon winner by the Dutch Ministry of Justice
During the blockchain hackathon organized by the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security, we demonstrated that a whole legal procedure can be digitized as an FSM and stored on the blockchain. This got us the 1st prize in the event which included the assignment to create the first digitized legal procedures for the Dutch legislative system on the blockchain.
2018- Q1
Launch of LTO Network & seed sale
LegalThings becomes LTO Network. The private layer is released, depending on Waves as public layer, featuring a modified version of the workflow engine. $1.4MM was raised during the seed sale.
2018 - Q3
Pilot for Waste Transportation
LTO launches a decentralized solution for automated permit checks in assignment of the Dutch and Belgian ministry of interiors. This marks the first time LTO Network is used in a production environment.
2019 - Q1
The LTO Network mainnet is launched; a modified fork of Waves. We close the last round of token sale, raising almost $1MM from the crowd sale and $1.6MM from the private sale. LTO is listed on BitMax.
2019 - Q3
LTO Network becomes the preferred blockchain of the NEN; The Royal Dutch institute for normalization and standards.
2020 - Q1
LTO Network is selected by Binance for free listing. Initially only ERC20 and BEP2 are supported and Binance now have LTO mainnet tokens available. LTO is also listed by LiteBit and BitMax.

fillthedoc is launched, a standalone product that anchors on LTO Network. The workflow engine is rebranded as LetsFlow and separated from the LTO private layer.

Associations and sponsored accounts
The first major mainnet upgrade, adding two transaction types: associations and sponsored accounts.

LTO Network burns all 50 million tokens held by the foundation, which is 11% of the total supply.

Exchanges Binance and BitMax launch locked staking programs for LTO as alternative to staking and leasing on mainnet using a community node.

With the second major mainnet update, LTO Network switches to a deflationary model. For every transaction, part of the fee is burned.

United Nations and LTO Network release world’s first open-source land registry. The land registry solution is handed to the Afghan Government by the UN Human Settlements Programme Afghanistan.

The identity platform will be able to generate and index DIDs of other blockchains, like Ethereum. More complex DIDs can be created using associations.

New transaction type on mainnet, allowing organizations to publish X.509 certificates on-chain. LTO mainnet will support addition cryptographic algorithms like EdDSA and RSA.
